The 42nd Swamp Guinea Open

The 42nd Swamp Guinea Open will be played April 26-30, 2025. We will be heading to the south Strand in 2025, with 5 rounds at 5 great courses!

We'll stay at the Seaside condos in Litchfield Resort. Unfortunately, the last of the OG Founders, Gus Mast (6-time SGO Champion), has had to drop out of this year's SGO; we will miss Gus' always good attitude and fun, and thank him for the years he has shared with all of us. With only 11 players, the pricing per person is $1021.02 with lunch and two drinks at three of the 5 courses: Founders, Litchfield, Tradition. Full breakfast each day on site at the Main Clubhouse. As with previous years, payments will be through the Myrtle Beach Golf Management System (MBGMS), package number 58456 and Zayas. Full payment is due no later than March 31. (And remember $30 cash for prize money to Jeff Lindley on arrival.)

The group dinners will be Saturday at 7:00pm at the Rustic Table in Pawley's Island, and at Frank's Outback and Bar at 7:00pm in Pawley's Island.

See you in April as Luis goes for a Three-Peat SGO!

SGO 2023- Myrtlewood Golf Course

Congratulations Luis Correa, 2024 SGO Champion ...Again!

The 14 golfers of the 41st Swamp Guinea Open began play April 20 with a warm-up round, before beginning "official" play for 4 days (eight 9-hole rounds) on a damp, cool, windy Sunday. A leader emerged after the first day and maintained exceptional play to successfully defend his SGO Championship. Luis Correa led wire-to-wire, ending with an incredible low point total of 18.5! (The lowest possible point total is 8 - single point for finishing solo first in each round.) Congratulations Luis!

Jeff Lindley finished in second place, also going wire-to-wire, separating himself from all other competitors. Kent Larson, Steve Clinger and Cameron Sharbaf filled out the Top 5. Another successful SGO thanks to the hard work of Robert Zayas. And immeasurable thanks to Jeff Lindley for all his organizational work in pairings, handicaps, scoring, and overall support. Thanks to all the competitors, and a special shout-out to OG Gus Mast and his successful return to competition.
